XOXO - Valentines Style

Valentines Day is now less than a week away, it’s THE day to impress so your outfit for Friday 14th has to be on point.

With the SS14 trends now filtering through onto the high-street, there are a ray of pretty pastels, flirty florals and pops of colour to choose from, whether it’s a romantic date night or a wild girls night out you’ve got in store.

Check out my favourite picks from the high-street for the perfect outfit to guarantee a visit from cupid...

Nails Nails Nails

Like some other beauty junkies I'm not overly obsessed with always matching my nail colour to a specific outfit that I am wearing (yet I still do have a million and one different nail varnishes!) however I do like to have a solid colour that is on trend and fitting with the season. This summer I was absolutely loving corals, peaches and nude colours for my nails - they look great with a summer tan and still look fab without being too garish and 'in your face'. Now we are at the height of winter I think darker colours are a must, here are a few of my favourite colours for winter... xx

I love Ciate's 'Strictly Legal' pearlised polish, it's a beautiful deep burgundy with a hint of  shimmering gold. It's a fab colour you can take from day to night.
Essie is one of my favourite nail brands when I get my nails done at the salon. It last's really well and is a great substitute for a Shellac manicure when you're out of money at the end of the month! 'Stylenomics' is a rich, deep green a great winter shade but also great for people who aren't quite brave enough to try a black colour!

The Rimmel London 'Salon PRO' collection is my absolute favourite collection, I don't necessarily love all the colours but the brush is perfect! It's a wide brush that makes it so easy to apply and I always get a really even finish which I don't always get with thinner brushes! This particular colour is 711 Punk Rock, it's my favourite from the collection. Some grey nail varnishes can seem quite flat and a bit boring but the Salon PRO collection has a 'gel shine finish' so the colour really pops!
Topshop is one of my favourite high street stores and make up is one of my favourite things so when Topshop Make Up launched I was so excited! This polish in 'Costume Ball' can be worn alone or over another colour - I would recommend a deep burgundy or a teal colour if you wanted to wear with another shade!

Christmas Wishes

It's nearly Christmas so I thought I would share my Christmas Beauty Wishlist with you. There are some great new products out there at the moment and so many I would love but I thought I would narrow it down to my top 5!

xx

Benefit's 'Watt's Up' highlighter is on the top of my beauty wishlist, I love the sponge-like applicator and I'm just dying to try it!
'Hoola' by Benefit is my absolute favourite bronzer, I have tried so many bronzers but Hoola just seems to blend so well with my skin and never looks patchy or too orange!
I really believe make up brushes are something to invest in and a really important part of your make up collection. the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush is a great size and it's really soft so doesn't feel harsh on your face!
My skin is quite oily and I sometime find that my make up wipes only add to this problem. I'm really keen to try the new Lancome Advanced Genifique Serum as I want something that doesn't enhance by oily skin but also leaves my skin radiant and smoother when removing my eye make up.

I am so excited about Rihanna's latest creative collaboration with MAC! I love lipsticks and the colour I am the most excited about is 'Pleasure Bomb - Matte Fuschia' I think it's a great colour for the party season but still with a dark undertone perfect for a winter night out!

My First Blog

I have been thinking of starting a blog for quite some time now but I wanted to make sure I had a clear idea of what I wanted to blog about (because there are so many things I love).

My career means a lot to me, I am really passionate about success and extremely driven to get to exactly where I want to be. I am currently a marketing professional working in the beauty industry, I have experience with large beauty retailers and also large beauty brands so I thought, why not blog about the two things I have the biggest passion for; beauty and my career.

I will be testing and reviewing the latest beauty products in the skin care and cosmetics categories along with reviewing some of my favourite (and least favourite) new marketing campaigns and also a few campaigns I have seen from the past. Working in the beauty industry means I get to work with beauty directors, buyers and brand managers so I will be chatting to some of them along the way too!

Hope you enjoy my blog and can share my passion with me!
